The Best CBD Online Store

Pass it on:

By now the entire planet knows what cannabidiol (CBD) is. It’s been called “nature’s most powerful anti-inflammatory” and “the miracle molecule,” but is it all anecdotal evidence?

In case you didn’t know, CBD comes from the cannabis plant; more specifically, hemp. Why hemp? Because since the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill, industrial hemp is now fully legal in the United States. Many farmers jumped on the bandwagon to supply this insatiable demand for CBD and other cannabinoids of this wonderful plant.

We at WeedUpdate, have been huge fans of industrial hemp. Particularly because of its industrial benefits, such as paper, textiles, bio-plastics, bio-diesel, and yes medicinal benefits. It is not only easy and cheap to grow, but it can fuel a modern economy with a very low carbon footprint. But enough about that, let’s get into CBD.

What is CBD?

We have to include this area for those that are honestly new to CBD and are just getting to research it. Not all of us are privy to sites such as this informing you about the latest in cannabis legalization!

To quickly summarize, when scientists in Israel were investigating how THC effects our minds and body, they discovered an amazing system underlying it all. It’s called the endocannabinoid system. This system can be said to be a messaging system that the body uses to communicate at a cellular level. All invertebrates have been shown to have an endocannabinoid system.

It is said that there are over 113 cannabinoids in the cannabis/hemp plant. THC is mostly knows for psychoactive and pain relieving effects, but those same scientists found another occurring cannabinoid – CBD.

The endocannabinoid system is made up of two parts. One called CB1 and the other called CB2. The CB1 receptor is found in the brain and central nervous system, while CB2 receptors are found in the immune system. CBD is one of the only cannabindoids that can attach and effect both receptors, making it an ideal candidate to relieve inflammation in the brain and immune system.

Inflammation and Disease

Why relieve inflammation? Most diseases and ailments stem from a chronic form of inflammation. Epilepsy, for example, is caused because of inflammation of the brain – and so do other brain “diseases” like schizophrenia. Since CBD is a very powerful anti-inflammatory, it has been seen in many research studies to help in the healing of these ailments.

Same goes for auto-immune diseases, which are chronic inflammation of the body – or the body attacking itself. Again, CBD shows great promises in this field. That said, there are companies out there that are taking advantage of this research, hyping it up, and selling cheap non-effective CBD products.

The CBD Online Store

There has been an explosion in CBD companies opening up shop, and they are not all created equal. Since farmers jumped on the bandwagon there has been a glut in the market supply, but that’s good for consumers, since prices usually come down. But it also means that many companies opened up thinking they can just ride the success of this miracle molecule.

Making matters more difficult, the FDA has not released any guidance or regulations for CBD, making the market a bit like the wild-wild-west.

Enter the CBD Online Store. They’ve been around since 2017, so they deeply understand this industry, as in, who are the real players and what is needed to create a quality CBD product.

Since the market is wide-open, it is left to self regulate. Meaning that the industry has to make sure that they are delivering a quality product to the consumer. One way that is done is 3rd party laboratory testing – on ALL batches. Why all batches? Because that proves a transparent and inherent process of a company making sure ALL their products match their labeling.

That said, the CBD Online Store makes sure that all the brands in their store adhere to this practice. Do all companies do this? Maybe, but we have been following this particular store since 2017, and they have been consistently saying this since the beginning.

The Future of CBD

There is a lot of research going into other cannabinoids, such as CBN, which essentially aged THC. But it has proven to be an amazing sleeping aid, especially when combined with CBD. And no, it doesn’t get you high, nor is it THC, it is just THC transformed. Maybe that’s why stoners always get sleepy?

The future of CBD mostly relies on either the industry forming its own regulatory body to ensure the quality of these products, or the FDA needs to finally step in and enforce good-sense regulation. The problem with FDA is that it is surrounded by lobbyists. Big pharma has a lot of money going into lobbyists to ensure that they remain the top dog – CBD can really hurt SOME of their products.

And since CBD is naturally occurring molecule, you cannot patent, i.e.cannot profit as much from it. But health should not be about profit, should it? Sure, businesses are allowed to make a margin for providing service, but that type of profit that comes from a monopoly (patents) is just wrong when it’s applied to the healthcare system.

We sincerely hope the CBD market gets regulated and organized for everyone’s sake. Let’s not let big pharma take it over and ruin it. In the meantime, make it over to the CBD Online Store. They have CBD capsules, CBD tinctures, CBD lisposomes, CBD buds, CBD creams, CBD vapes, and more from several brands. They are growing everyday, and if you use our code WU10 when you check out for 10% (that’s unheard of these days in the store).
