Should you buy CBD from Amazon? Before we answer this, let’s first understand how we got here.
Amazon is such a behemoth that it’s CEO and Founder, Jeff Bezos, is the world’s richest man (officially). He has amassed over $100 billion in wealth over one lifetime – something that took some families generations to accomplish – before the global monopolistic powers of the internet.
Amazon not only had the foresight that the Internet would permeate the entire biosphere but had the investors with deep pockets to wait it out. It is a fact; Amazon is a phenomenon and is a testament to their timeless drive towards better efficiency and profitability – sadly at the expense of human beings. We are here to understand if you can trust the CBD products currently being sold at Amazon as “hemp oil” or “hemp seed extract” can be trusted to be “CBD products in disguise.”
Amazon’s CBD Policy
Officially CBD is not allowed to be sold on Amazon. Under Program Policies/Restricted Products/Drugs & drug paraphernalia , and under Drug Products and Ingredients:

So, there you have it. Now, if you search CBD on Amazon, the results you get are full of “hemp oil 1000mg,” and “hemp gummies 3000mg,” but do they contain CBD. If they are coming up in the search, then the sellers are placing those terms in their tags and alt-tags – Amazon must know this is going on and is turning a blind eye.
This is bad because it encourages lying. If the official policy is to restrict CBD, then there is no due diligence done on the actual product. They can literally be hemp and still be in compliance even though a search for CBD tempted the buyer to purchase the product.

These days buying CBD online is more mature than what it was a couple of years ago. Sure, everyone and their mother is selling CBD, but a.) that means it works, and b.) it’s a free market. At the end of the day, competition is good for improving products quality and an eventual reduction in prices.
